At the Tuesday, December 1st Alameda City Council Meeting, council members voted 3-2 to place the Boys and Girls Club project to build new club house in the West End of Alameda on the list of projects approved for WW Bond monies.

The question of whether or not to give $2 million of Measure WW money to the private Boys & Girls Club – money that voters approved to spend on public parks – will go before Alameda City Council again tonight.

On Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009, an East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD) report was given regarding concerns about the application of $2 million worth of Measure WW Funds.

The City of Alameda Recreation Commission will meet tomorrow to discuss a proposed diversion of Measure WW money that voters approved for parks and recreation to be diverted to the Alameda Chapter of the Boys and Girls Club.
