The San Francisco Business Times is reporting that the City of Alameda has taken the initial steps to terminate their Exclusive Negotiating Agreement (ENA) with SunCal for the development of Alameda, due to SunCal’s failure to meet mandatory milestones.

We solicited regular Action Alameda News readers for their nominations for a Measure B campaign “gallery of rogues” – the Measure B proponents that were the most cynical, hypocritical, disingenuous or outright lame during the Measure B campaign. Here they are.

Never mind Alameda Point. What happens to EBMUD’s Doug Linney who has been trying to develop a career as a political strategist? Linney was a consultant to SunCal on yesterday’s Measure B defeat, to the tune of about $60,000.

Revised numbers – an unofficial tally of Measure B ballots – released by the Alameda County Registrar of Voters today shows that SunCal took an even bigger drubbing that previously thought.
No: 13,419 votes (85.37%)
Yes: 2,300 votes (14.63%)
The “yes” vote count has dropped below 15%

From the Alameda County Registrar of Voters:
Completed Precincts: 27 of 27
NO 11,947 84.93%
YES 2,120 15.07%

At an election night “event” – organizers didn’t want to use the word “party” for fear of appearing too overconfident of victory – Protect The Point volunteers celebrated early election returns showing an 82% “no” vote on Measure B.
