ChildSharing Introduces Parent Education Classes in Alameda County

ChildSharing.com recently announced the availability of a new online co-parenting program designed to aid families raising children between multiple homes. In other words, this is for divorced parents with custody sharing agreements. Their website says they are “County approved: accepted” for Alameda County, but it’s not clear what that means.

We couldn’t find anything on the Alameda County Court’s website about Childsharing.com Other courts in the state, such as the San Diego County Court, list the company on their resource list, among other service providers, but with the disclaimer: “The Court does not endorse, evaluate, supervise or monitor these programs.” Action Alameda News readers should check with their own court regarding any referred resources.

With that caveat out of the way, Childsharing.com provides a 4-hour program that includes videos, quizzes, and life applications which serves as an alternative for parents who are mandated to take a co-parenting class to obtain a final decree or for those that are seeking to increase positive communication and parenting skills. In their announcement, the firms writes “Many times, parents who are required to attend classes are constrained by factors such as resource limitations, time, scheduling and training costs. In response to these challenges, ChildSharing.com chose to create the co-parenting class to ensure that the transition between families is smooth and successful.”

The program is available on www.ChildSharing.com.
